Our client is a worldwide leading financial services organisation with offices across the UK. Due to due to workloads expanding to meet global reporting requirements, our client has asked us to assist with the recruitment of two Business Intelligence Analysts /Developer (s) / Data Analyst (s).
Working within the IT Services team, with external suppliers, senior business management and business users to provide management information to the finance teams and retail branches.
Our client is aiming to build the management information function within IT by rapidly producing accurate financial and transactional reporting on request. The successful candidates will report to the Business Intelligence Manager.
The successful candidates will be responsible for promoting the function, identifying opportunities, gathering requirements, writing reports and specifications to meet the business’s requirements and ensuring that support SLAs are delivered.
Qualifications / Experience
Essential
• Must have good, accomplished SQL 2000 skills, with a several years experience of writing and optimising SQL views and stored procedures, including the use of transact SQL
• Must have experience in the use of SQL Analysis Services
• Must be competent in the use of SQL 2005 tools
• Must have a good understanding of relational databases and be experienced in database design
• Must have experience in using OLAP tools, preferably Business Objects Voyager or Crystal OLAP
• Must have a minimum of 2 years report writing experience, preferably using Business Objects or Crystal Reports.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Must have excellent MS office Skills.
Desirable
• Management/financial accountancy knowledge which should include: preparing Profit and Loss, KPIs and Cash Flow reports.
• Banking / Foreign exchange experience in place.
• Experience of working with project team members based in the UK and 3rd party relationships.
• Retail experience

Working to produce Management information across the Group globally. The role will be primarily based in Peterborough but may involve some work at other locations.
